17th-century reddish-brown calf over rope-fibre boards; lower board covered with a separate piece of calf; sewn on four supports; blind fillets and roll forming two concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of inner frame; blind stamps on spine; raised bands; paper spine label with title (pasted over gilt tooling); gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red.
