17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; sewn on four recessed supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards; smooth spine with gilt fillets; text block edges sprinkled red; black spine label with title in gilt; evidence of chain-plate on lower board at fore-edge.
