The extent of gathering ã is unclear. In this copy, there are four leaves. The first leaf is the title leaf, the second leaf is blank, the third leaf (conjunct with the second leaf) contains the second half of the dedicatory epistle, and the fourth leaf (recto signed ã3) contains the first half of the dedicatory epistle. It is not clear whether the fourth leaf is conjunct with the first. Catalogue records of other copies indicate that this gathering has 6 leaves.

17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; sewn on five tawed leather supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming two concentric rectangular frames, with blind stamps at inner corners of inner frame; smooth spine with blind and gilt fillets; gilt fillet around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red; later black spine labels with titles; evidence of chain-plate at fore-edge of upper board.
