Inscription, in ink, at head of title page: "Miss S. D. Roebuck April 25th. 1827". Miss S. D. (Susan Disney) Roebuck is probably identical with Susanna Hussey Roebuck who was baptized on September 8, 1816 in the Parish of Heavitree, Exeter, Devon, she being the daughter of Henry Disney Roebuck (died 1836) and Anna Maria Hussey Roebuck. Susan Disney Roebuck married John George Hacket (died 1847) on September 20, 1842 at St. David's Church, Exeter. A widow for most of her life, Susan Hussey Hacket died, aged 82, on April 6, 1899 at Leamington, Warwickshire.

Stamped in gold letters on the upper board of this bound collection: "E. H.", probably signifying Edward Hardy (1811-1869); Edward Hardy was a great-grandfather of Brigadier Tim Hackworth.

Inscription, in ink, at head of 3rd upper endleaf of this bound collection: "Florence Edith Agnes Hardy"; Florence Edith Agnes Hardy (1854-1901) was a daughter of Edward Hardy; she married Henry Mason on 19th April, 1873; she was a maternal great-aunt of Brigadier Tim Hackworth.

Bequeathed to the Archives of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle by Brigadier Tim Hackworth, military knight of Windsor and a direct descendant of Joseph Corfe (1740-1820) and Arthur Thomas Corfe (1773-1863); subsequently donated by the Archives of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle to Salisbury Cathedral Library, with the agreement of the family of the late Brigadier Hackworth.

Salisbury Cathedral Library bookplate (20th century, reprinted 2019) with design based on the Dean and Chapter seal, and inscription “Sarvm Cathedral Library.”

19th-century; half-bound in green cloth; boards covered with a different green cloth; initials "E. H." tooled in gilt on upper board; marbled endleaves. Lower portion of upper board has been cut away.
