Inscription on inside cover: "Given to the Cathedral Library by the Dean of Salisbury July 1986". This is Sydney Hall Evans, who retired in 1986. The subsequent Dean was Hugh Dickinson, who was not installed until 11 October 1986.

Binding

Originally issued as a stapled booklet with a card cover. This copy has been bound in green leather, with blind toolining, presumably by Harry Bailey.
