17th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on three tanned leather supports; boards decorated with blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards, with additional vertical blind fillet towards spine edge, and blind leaf-shaped stamps at inner corners; smooth spine with gilt fillets; tan leather spine label with title; date in gilt at tail of spine; text block edges heavily sprinkled red.
