Thomas Preston, music publisher, died in July 1834. His successors, Charles Coventry (ca. 1799-1856) and John Hollier (ca. 1801-1862), had taken Preston's business over by August 1834; their business partnership was dissolved in September 1847. Accompanied by a letter, dated 9th December 1982, and an inventory (2 leaves) sent to Suzanne Eward from the firm of Travis & Emery, Cecil Court, London; at head of the inventory: "A collection of music by members of the Corfe family of Salisbury, from the Library of Canon E.T. [sic] Corfe, Precentor of Truro, removed from Corfe House, Bath".
