No. [blank]”. “Thomas” added in manuscript in gap before “Freke”. “463” added in manuscript in gap following “No”.
Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "D.25" inscribed on front flyleaf. Spine label with illegible number. Gillingham reference D25/463/-.

Binding
17th-century sprinkled brown sheepskin over rope-fibre boards; sewn on three supports; blind fillets and rolls forming concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of inner frame; four false raised bands; text block edges sprinkled red.
