17th-century brown sheepskin over rope fibre boards; sewn on three recessed supports; blind fillets and rolls forming three concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of middle frame; false raised bands on spine; paper spine label with title; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red.
