18th-century mottled and plain brown calf over rope-fibre boards; sewn on six supports (of which only four laced onto the boards); blind fillets forming three concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of middle frame; raised bands; gilt tooling on spine; evidence of spine label; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red.
