Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham, Dorset by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "C" and "B.2" inscribed on upper flyleaf. Spine label with "G4[?]".

18th-century sprinkled, mottled and plain brown calf over rope-fibre boards; sewn on five supports; blind fillets and rolls forming three concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of middle frame; raised bands; paper spine label with title; volume number in gilt on spine; gilt roll around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red.
