18th-century mottled and plain brown sheepskin over rope-fibre boards (wanting upper board); sewn on five supports (three supports laced into boards); blind fillets forming three concentric rectangular frames on boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of middle frame; gilt tooling on spine; text block edges sprinkled red.
