17th-century sprinkled brown sheepskin over rope-fibre boards; sewn on five supports; blind fillets forming rectangular frame towards edges of boards, with additional vertical blind fillets towards spine edge; five raised bands; blind fillets on spine; remains of paper spine label; gilt fillet around board edges; text block edges sprinkled red; binding repaired January 1983; slip with description of repair pasted to upper endleaf.
Copy-specific note
Contains portraits of "Philip IV King of Spain" and "Pope Alexander the seaventh"; all other portraits have been torn out.
