Printed bookplate with a rectangular border and inscription “This book belongs to the library in the vicarage house of Gillingham in Dorset: being one of the books given by [blank] Freke, esq; to the said library, A.D. [blank]. Attested by me (this 12 April 1735) William Newton, Vicar and Minister of Wingham, Kent. No. [blank]”. “Thomas” added in manuscript in gap before “Freke”. “452” added in manuscript in gap following “No”.
Part of the Gillingham Parochial Library, bequeathed to the vicar and feoffees of the parish lands of Gillingham, Dorset by Thomas Freke (d. 1718?), and placed on permanent loan in Salisbury Cathedral Library 25 November 1992. "C8" inscribed on upper flyleaf. Spine label with "200". Gillingham reference C8/452/200.
