19th-century black calf over paper boards; tooled rectangular frame on boards, within three fillets; bookblock edges gilded. Stamped on front board: "Salisbury / Cathedral" (the standard binding for many prayer books in the Cathedral choir stalls).

Copy-specific note

Imperfect: boards detached, spine-strip lacking; leaves for Morning and Evening Prayer very worn and defective, with some repairs.

Prayers "for the Queen's Majesty" and "for the Royal family" in Evening Prayer (only) have been updated in ink to reflect accession of Edward VII in 1901.
