Late 16th-century dark brown calf over paper boards; sewn on five alum-tawed supports; blind fillets forming two concentric rectangular frame toward edges of boards, with blind stamps at outer corners of inner frame; blind stamped centre-piece; spine with five raised bands, blind stamps, and (later) gilt fillets; spine label with "Conciones Græce et Latinæ opera H. Stephani"; "1570" in gilt at foot of spine; text block edges stained red; evidence of ties; evidence of chain-plate at fore-edge of lower board.
