Note

In some copies leaf Hhhhh1 (pages: 397-398) of tome 2 is a cancel containing a revised note to Idyll XIV line 37 omitting most of the last line of the quotation from Automedon following the word "[phemi]".

In some copies there are two extra leaves in tome 2, inserted between pages 388 and 389 and signed ***Eeeee. The first leaf is a half-title leaf, reading: "Joannis Toupii addenda in Theocritum.". The second leaf contains a dedication that begins "Eximio. viro. et. in. arte. sua. longe. celeberrimo. Gulielmo Heberden. M. D. ...".
