17th-century sprinkled brown calf over paper boards; sewn on six supports; blind fillets and rolls forming rectangular frame towards perimeter of boards; spine with six raised bands, blind fillets and gilt fillets; spine label on vol. 1 with "Suidas", and on vol. 2 "Græc: Lexicon"; "Geneva 1630" in gilt at foot of spine of vol. 1; gilt roll around board edges; volume number in ink on fore-edge; text block edges sprinkled red; evidence of chain plate at fore-edge of lower board.

Copy-specific note

Vol. 2 lacks all before leaf A1 (that is, it lacks title page and any other preliminaries). The other copy in Salisbury Cathedral Library, and the copy at Queen's College, Oxford similarly lack all before leaf A1, suggesting that there were no preliminaries.
