Description

A letter with envelope from Bishop Burgess to an unidentified recipient. Bishop Burgess' handwriting writing is hard to decipher but the letter seems to concern theological matters. There are references to interpretations of Erasmus and other named [but illegible]individuals: eg '[?] understood the eighth verse literally of the Assump of Christ, as well as allegorically of the Trinity', and '..the Divinity of Christ, and the eighth to his human nature'.
