Description

Five letters from William Burrell to Edward Henderson, Dean of Salisbury written between 5 December 1937 and 16 February 1939. The letters include arrangements for the delivery of a tapestry to Salisbury Cathedral and offers of other tapestries to be displayed in the Cathedral Nave. Names/descriptions of tapestries: "The Betrothal", "The Sacrament - Abraham and Milchizedek'', "A Mille Fleurs Armorial Tapestry circa 1480", two "Mille Fleurs tapestries animals, birds and landscape". Contained in an envelope addressed to Canon Quirk [Canon Librarian].
