Contains primarily documents concerning negotiations with the Ecclesiastical Commissioners and funds for the future maintenance of the fabric; (1) bundle label; (2) Letter to the Dean Hamilton rom F MacDonald, Chapter Clerk, referring to an endowment to be put into effect but depending on the scheme of the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, 25 Jul 1874; (3) Two letters between Dean Hamilton and Bishop Walter Kerr; letter (labelled 'from Visitor assent') from the Bishop to the Dean on negotiations with the Ecclesiastical Commissioners of the transfer of the Cathedral estates, 24 Jun 1861 and letter from the Dean informing the Bishop of a resolution by Chapter 'to the permanent benefit of the Cathedral' 5 Aug 1861; (4) Salisbury Chapter Estates Income and Expenditure for Seven Years ending October 1855, signed Alford, Chapter Clerk; (5) Thirteen page letter from the Bishop to the Dean (labelled Letter from the Visitor) on negotiations with the Ecclesiastical Commissioners particularly on the terms of any agreement, 14 Jan 1861; (6) Salisbury Chapter estates income and Expenditure for Eight Years ending October 1857, signed Alford, Chapter Clerk; (7) Schedules (A) of Property Situate in the Close of Sarum formerly Comprising the Fabric Estate and Schedule (B) of property situate in the Close of Sarum belonging to the Dean and Chapter, Oct 1863; (8) Three letters and calculations of the cost of repairs and stabilising the tower/spire in relation to funds set aside for this purpose from monies negotiated with the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, letter from F MacDonald to the Dean, 29 Apr 1864, copy letter from Dean Hamilton to J J Chalk, 28 Nov 1862, letter from F MacDonald to the Dean with separate sheet of calculations, 27 Apr 1864; (9) Cost of 'Existing Establishment - irrespective of intended charges' (2 papers particularly including notes on salaries); letter from F MacDonald to the Dean with details of payment, and the source of such payments, to the organist, sheet of additional calculations); (10) Letter from F MacDonald to the Dean considering the appropriation of the modern revenues, particularly the Fabric Fund, 7 Oct 1863; (11) Printed resolution of Pentecostal Chapter for the provision of a statue for enforcing the payment of a percentage on the fines and renewals for the benefit of the maintenance of the Cathedral fabric, signed W Boucher, Chapter Clerk, Dec 1815; (12) Statute for appropriation of revenues and apportionment of expenditure, 1863; (13) Memorandum concerning the appropriation of the capitular revenues, 1863; (14) Suggestions with reference to a contemplated transfer of the Capitular and Fabric property to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners 1859 (copy); (15) Scheme of commutation as settled between Mr Attwood and Mr Joel, 26th & 27th Nov 1860; (16) Repairs to Fabric of Salisbury Cathedral Statute made at the Pentecostal Meeting (copy), 11 Jun 1813, MacDonald & Brodrick.
