Description

A letter addressed to the Dean of Salisbury Cathedral from Colonel Thomas Reede of the 62nd Wiltshire Regiment. The letter records the presentation of the Regimental Colours to the Cathedral and gives some information about their history. It also refers to a tablet to be erected below the Colours. Accompanying the letter is a transcription by Canon Christopher Wordsworth together with his additional notes and references to three entries in the Chapter Acts referring to the Regimental Colours.
