Contains the following completed printed forms: No 1 Return for leases for Lives held under the Dean and Chapter of Salisbury 1849 (information includes date of lease, name of lessee, description of property, number of acres, county and parish, remaining lives, net value, fine on last renewal); No 2 Return of leases for Years, 1849 (information includes date of lease, name of lessee, description of property, number of acres, county and parish, remaining lives, net value, fine on last renewal); No 3 Return of property of whatever Description, not let on leases for Lives or Years, described in Nos. 1 and 2, belonging to the Dean and Chapter of Salisbury 1849 (information includes description of property, number of acres, county and parish, net annual value); copies of earlier documents (in Latin) relating to the choristers' property; accounts re charges in 1852 on the Fabric Fund; income and expenditure re fabric estate inc Communars Account for 1845-1852. The majority of the volume is blank. The following inscriptions are recorded on the front endpaper: 'These following returns were drawn up by Mr Alford Chapter Clerk - his clerk Mr Smith - and by myself in the year 1849 (the year of the visitation of the Cholera) and were copied [?] into this book September 1850 in the Muniment Room W K Hamilton (Precentor of Sarum and Can[on] Res [identiary]) Oct 1 1859.' 'I have given this book to the Dean of Salisbury this day 8 Sept 1850 with a request that it may be eventually be placed in the Muniment Room of the Dean & Chapter WK Sarum.'
