1842-1844

9 sheet
Description
Items 79-87: the third "sub-bundle".
All nine documents are accounts, invoices and receipts relating to plumbing, bricklaying, glazing and carpentry "work at Mrs Marsh's" (see also similar documents included in CH/20/44/12).
"Mrs Marsh" was presumably the widow of Matthew Marsh (1769-1840), Subdean (1824-1840) and Canon Residentiary (1826-1840). Evidence suggests that as a Canon Residentiary Matthew Marsh occupied "Hemingsby" (now 56A and B, The Close) so the works detailed in these documents probably relate to that house.
