Description

Items 100-103: the fourth "sub-bundle". 100. 24 Oct 1833, letter from W [Boucher?] at Thornhill House, Shaston (or Shaftesbury) to Archdeacon William Macdonald. "I beg leave to trouble you with the communication between Mr Benger & myself on the subject of the Fine proposed at the last Chapter for the Grant to him of the . . . Copyhold at Poorstock [or Powerstock] Dorset for 3 lives". Endorsed in pencil on the verso in "Benger's estate". Circular seal in red wax with heraldic motif, 20mm diameter. 101. 10 Apr 1833. Accounts signed "J R Fisher & Son" relating to houses in Castle Street and High Street, subject to leases held by a Mr Axford and a "Miss Martha [Goodyear?] and others" respectively. Endorsed on the verso "Axford's House". 102. 28 May 1835. Account signed "J R Fisher & Son" relating to a house in High Street "occupied by Mr Drew held by Lease . . . by Mrs [Sanger?]. With a note signed "J R Fisher" about "the Property now occupied by Dr Grobe". Endorsed on the verso "Drew's and Dr Grobe's houses". 103. 30 Jun 1817. Account relating to "the Premises held by Lease . . . situated in the Close and now in the tenure of Mrs Frome". Endorsed in pencil on the verso "Mrs Frome's House"
