Description

Letter from John Bowle (Dean, 1620-1630), "To the right worsh[ipful] my loving brethren of the Chapter". Written from Bradfield. "I came out of London the 16th of February . . . because the plague was near my Lodging". Bowle repeats his request that John Johnson be sent (CH20/52/4), so as to enable him "to prepare such things as I have gathered out of our books".
