Description

Letter addressed "To the most worshipful and reverend my very lovinge brethren of the Chapter in the Close of Sarum", and signed "Your Loving brother, J Gordon" from Fulham, 19 October 1609. After a salutation in Latin ("Carissimi in Cristo fratres") the Dean asks that the Chapter will seal a "reformed" lease which he has transferred from a Mr (or "Counsellor") Barker to a Mr Lee. The Dean says he is about to go to Royston but will return at allhallowtide.
