Indenture made between Robert Woodward Dean of Salisbury and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part, and Andrew Baden of New Sarum Mercer of the other part. The said Robert Woodward and the Dean and Chapter grant unto Andrew Baden a tenement with the appurtenances in New Sarum now in the tenure of Joseph Meade [Mede] gent bounded with a kitchen being the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter now in the tenure of Andrew Baden on the east part and with the dwelling house of Andrew Baden being the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter on the west part, and with the Guildhall of the Bishop of Salisbury on the south part and with the yarn marketplace on the north part. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 40s at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions.
