Description

Andrew Baden's counterpart of an indenture made between Robert Woodward Dean of Salisbury and Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part, and Andrew Baden of New Sarum in the county of Wiltshire Mercer of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant to the said Andrew Baden their tenements and kitchen with the appurtenances to have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was £5, 14s, 8d to be paid at the four usual feasts of the year in equal portions. Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of George Frome and [Edward Thistlethwayt]. The item is endorsed 'Mr Badens Counterpart of a Corner Tenem[ent] in Sarum...' and 'Corner House n[ear] Wool Market 1693.'
