Description
Indenture made between the Reverend Newton Ogle Canon Residentiary and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part, and Daniel Keele of New Sarum in the county of Wiltshire Silversmith of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Daniel Keele a tenement with the appurtenances heretofore demised unto Joseph Mede gent in New Sarum late in the occupation of [Mr] Brown leather cutter, bounded with a kitchen being the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter now in the tenure of Daniel Keele on the east part, with the dwelling house of [Mrs] Crocker widow being likewise the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter on the west part, with the Guildhall of the Bishop on the south part and with the yarn marketplace on the north part. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 40s to be paid at the four terms of the year in equal portions. Sealed and delivered, being first stamped, in the presence of George Frome.
