Description

Counterpart of indenture made between the Reverend Newton Ogle Canon Residentiary and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Daniel Keele of New Sarum Silversmith of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant to the said Daniel Keele a tenement with the appurtenances heretofore demised unto Joseph Mede gent in New Sarum late in the occupation of [Mr] Brown leather cutter, bounded with a kitchen being the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter now in the occupation of Daniel Keele on the east part, with the dwelling house of [Mrs] Corker widow being likewise the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter on the west part, the Guildhall of the Bishop on the south and with the yarn marketplace on the north part. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 40s at the four terms of the year in equal portions. Sealed and delivered, being first stamped, in the presence of Thomas Frome.
