Description
Counterpart of indenture made between Joseph Kelsey Canon Residentiary and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and William Naish of New Sarum in the county of Wiltshire Apothecary of the other part. The said Joseph Kelsey and the Dean and Chapter grant unto the said William Naish their corner tenement sometimes two tenements with the appurtenances now in the tenure of James Greene basketmaker in New Sarum in a certain street or place there called Fish Row between the Guildhall being the lands of the Bishop in right of his Bishopric and the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter now in the tenure of Joseph Mede on the north part, the King's highway leading out and from the wood market into Fish Row on the west part, the lands belonging to the Warden and Dean and Chapter now in the tenure of Christopher Batt on the east part, and the said street called Fish Row on the south part. To have and to hold for 21 years. The annual rent was £4 4s at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions. Signed, sealed and delivered being first stamped with a double sixpenny stamp in the presence of Thomas Naish and George Frome public notary.
