Description

Indenture made between Isaac Walton Clerk, Canon Residentiary and Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Thomas Obourne [Obourn] of New Sarum in the county of Wiltshire Tailor of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Thomas Obourn their corner tenement where Thomas Obourn lives in New Sarum in the street there commonly called the Fishrowe [Fish Row] abutting upon the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter now in the tenure of Thomas Naish the Younger clerk on the west part, the entry of the tenement of Joseph Mede gent being the lands also of the Warden and Dean and Chapter on the north part, and the King's highway on the east and south parts with all the appurtenances. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 26s 8d to be paid at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions. Signed, sealed and delivered being first lawfully stamped in the presence of Thomas Naish and Thomas Baden.
