Counterpart of indenture made between the Reverend William Dodwell Canon Residentiary and Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Thomas Obourne [Obourn] of Woolverton [?Woolston] in the county of Southampton Clerk of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Thomas Obourn their corner tenement now in the occupation of Thomas Gibbs sadler in New Sarum in the street there commonly called Fish Row abutting upon the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter late in the tenure of Thomas Naish the Younger clerk on the west part, the entry of the tenement of Francis Edmonds clerk being the lands also of the Warden and Dean and Chapter on the north part, and the King's highway on the east and south parts with the appurtenances. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 26s 8d to be paid at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions. Sealed and delivered (being first duly stamped) in the presence of Ann Mercer and Thomas Frome.
