Description
Indenture made between Richard Chandler Clerk, Canon Residentiary and Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Richard More of New Sarum in the county of Wiltshire Carpenter of the other part. The said Warden and the Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Richard More their corner tenement where Richard More lives in New Sarum in the street there commonly called the Fishe rowe [Fish Row] abutting upon the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter now in the tenure of John Lovier [Lover] fishmonger on the west part, the entry of the tenement of Thomas Marshall haberdasher being the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter on the north part, and the Queen's highway on the east and south parts, together with one other little cottage adjoining unto the guilde hall [Guildhall] now in the occupation of Thomas Longeman with the appurtenances. To have and to hold for 80 years. The annual rent was for the corner tenement 26s 8d and for the little cottage 4s at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions.
