Indenture made between Thomas Wyatt Canon Residentiary and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Joseph Mede of New Sarum in the County of Wilts Gent of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Joseph Mede their corner cottage or tenement with the appurtenances now in the tenure of Joseph Mede in New Sarum adjoining the Ward of the prisons called the Convict and the Grate on the west part, the lands of the Warden and Dean and Chapter on the south part and the river on the east part. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 4s to be paid at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions. Signed, sealed and delivered being first stamped with two sixpenny stamps in the presence of Daniel Yerbury and George Frome.
