Description
Confirmation by the Dean and Chapter of Salisbury Cathedral of a lease for lives made by John de Camera Precentor and warden of the lands and tenements of the Choristers to Thomas de Hungerford citizen of New Sarum and John le Muleward mercer, of two shops with two gutters situated in the city at the corner of the Guildhall between the western door of the tavern there on the southern part and the shop held by Robert le Bout on the eastern part to have and to hold for their lives. The text is stained but the rent appears to be 40s in equal portions at the four terms of the year. Given in the Chapter House on the Monday after the feast of St Edmund [the Martyr] [20 November], which was on a Friday.
