Counterpart of indenture made between the right honourable Robert Woodward Dean and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and John Whitemarsh of New Sarum Yeoman of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said John Whitemarsh their tenement and garden belonging to it with the appurtenances now in the possession or occupation of John Whitemarsh in New Sarum in a street there commonly called Castle Street between the lands belonging to the Warden and Dean and Chapter in the occupation of Robert Green on the north part, the land of Thomas Mitchell now in his own occupation on the south part, the King's highway on the west part and the land of the Warden and Dean and Chapter with the lands now or late of William Bawdin on the east part. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 13s 4d to be paid at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions.
