Description

Counterpart of indenture made between the reverend Charles Moss Clerk, Canon Residentiary and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part, and Charles Millett of Cliffords Inn Fleet Street London Gentleman lawful son and administrator of the goods, chattels, rights and credits of Charles Millett late of New Sarum Carpenter and Joiner deceased of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Charles Millett two messuages or tenements and gardens with the appurtenances formerly in the tenure of Richard Minty since in the tenure of John Roberts late in the tenure of Charles Millett deceased and now in the tenure of Charles Millett party hereto. The premises are in New Sarum in a certain street there called New Street bounded with a watercourse on the south part and the said street on the north part. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 40s 10d to be paid at the four usual terms of the year in equal portions. Sealed and delivered, being first stamped, in the presence of Robert Cane and Jos[eph] Elderton. 'Renewable 29[th] Sept. 1804.'
