Description
Indenture made between the reverend William Coxe Clerk, Canon Residentiary and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Jane Salter of New Sarum in the county of Wiltshire widow relict of William Salter deceased the sole executrix named and appointed in and by his last will and testament of the other part. The said Warden and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said Jane Salter a messuage or tenement and garden with the appurtenances in New Sarum in a certain street there called High Street formerly in the tenure of Thomas Brickell late of William Salter and now of Jane Salter bounded with the lands of the Mayor and Commonalty on the south part, the highway on the east part, the lands late of Thomas Chafin esquire on the north part and the river or stream of water on the west part. To have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 40s to be paid at the four usual feasts of the year in equal portions. Sealed and delivered by William Coxe being first stamped in the presence of William Hayward.
