Description

Counterpart of indenture made between George David Boyle Clerk, Dean of Salisbury Cathedral and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and Absalom Curtis and James Shelley Curtis of New Sarum in the County of Wiltshire plumbers, painters and glaziers. The Master and Dean and Chapter grant unto Absalom Curtis and James Shelley Curtis a messuage or tenement with the houses and buildings belonging to it formerly called or known by the sign of 'The Vine' in New Sarum in a certain place there called the Marketplace, bounded on the east with the Marketplace, on the west with the parochial schools belonging to the parish of St Thomas, on the north by the road or passage between the said messuage and the house and premises belonging to the trustees of the Salisbury Savings Bank and on the south with the churchyard of the Parish of St Thomas. The premises were formerly converted into several messuages and shops delineated in the plan drawn upon these presents. Together with the right of way and other appurtenances. To have and to hold for 14 years from 05 Oct 1888. The annual rent was £105 by 2 equal half yearly payments.
