Description
Counterpart of indenture made between John Hugh Granville Randolph Bishop DD Dean of Salisbury Cathedral and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter of the one part and William Sam Curtis of Number 28 the Marketplace in New Sarum in the county of Wiltshire plumber, painter and glazier, and Charles Frederick James Davis and Raymond Ilfred Henry Longman both of St Thomas Square in New Sarum Auctioneers and estate agents of the other part. The Master and Dean and Chapter grant unto William Sam Curtis, Charles Frederick James Davis and Raymond Ilfred Henry Longman a messuage or tenement with the houses and buildings belonging to it formerly called or known by the sign of 'The Vine' in New Sarum in a certain place there called the Marketplace, bounded on the north by the road or passage between the said messuage and the house and premises occupied by the Salisbury Branch of the British Legion, on the east by the Marketplace, on the west by the parochial school belonging to the parish of St Thomas and on the south by a pathway in the churchyard of the Parish of St Thomas. The premises were formerly converted into several messuages and shops delineated in the plan drawn upon these presents. Together with the right of way and other appurtenances, and the landlord's fixtures specified in the schedule underwritten. To have and to hold for 14 years from 29 Sep 1930.
