Description

Counterpart of indenture made between William Coxe Clerk and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter owners and proprietors of the parsonage of Preshute in the county of Wiltshire of the one part and William Somerset of Barton Farm in the parish of Preshute Yeoman of the other part. The said Master and Dean and Chapter grant unto the said William Somerset all and all manner of tithes and tenths yearly arising from the farm now in the occupation of the said William Somerset and others and more particularly described in the attached schedule to have and to hold for 14 years. The annual rent was £164 on two of the usual feasts in the year in equal portions. The schedule is written under the main text. Sealed and delivered, being first stamped, in the presence of [Joseph] Warden.
