Description

Surrender of the lease of the parsonage house of Preshute dated 09 Aug 1849. Indenture made between Thomas Baverstock Merriman of Marlborough in the county of Wiltshire gentleman and William Clark Merriman of the same place gentleman the trustees and executors named and appointed in the last will and testament of John Withers Clark late of Preshute esquire deceased of the one part and William Fisher Clerk and Master Warden or Governor of the Choristers and the Dean and Chapter owners and proprietors of the parsonage of Preshute of the other part. This indenture witnesses in consideration of the sum of 5s Thomas Baverstock Merriman and William Clark Merriman have surrendered and yielded up unto the said Warden and Dean and Chapter firstly the Parsonage House of Preshute together with the appurtenances and other premises and secondly the tithes and rent charges demised in the indenture dated 09 Aug 1849. Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of [R] Lavington Clerk to Messrs T B and W Merriman and Gwillim Solicitors in Marlborough.
