Assignment of the Lease of Preshute House Marlborough

Indenture made between William Edward Mullins late of Preshute House Marlborough in the county of Wiltshire esquire of the one part and the Governors of Marlborough College in the said county of the other part. This indenture witnesses that in consideration of the sum of £400 paid to William Edward Mullins by the Governors he assigns unto them the messuage and premises demised by the indenture of lease dated 09 Jul 1883 (CO/CH/5/1/40/1 and CO/CH/5/1/40/2) to hold for the residue of the term of 21 years, and the said Governors will pay to William Edward Mullins the sum of £1000 and the rent reserved by the indenture of lease. Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of Elizabeth Mullins spinster, and C M Bull and Samuel J Fisher members of the Council of Marlborough College.
