Description

Lease for lives. Robert de Walsham Precentor of Salisbury Cathedral and warden of the lands and tenements of the Choristers grants to John Aumbresbury and his wife Cecily that corner shop with three 'gurgitibus' [?drains] which is in New Sarum at the west part of the Guildhall between the west door of the Guildhall Tavern on the north part and the shop which John Aumbresbury holds on the east part (the shop was formerly held by Thomas Bereford), to have and to hold for their lives. The annual rent was 40s in equal portions at the four terms of the year. Given at New Sarum.
