Tilshead Church and Schools: as to Contribution by the Master of the Choristers

Letters dated 1870 re contributions from the Master of the Choristers to church repairs and schools in the parish of Tilshead. There are five letters, as follows: a letter [to Messrs Macdonald & Brodrick] from [Reverend] J H Johnson of the Vicarage at Tilshead requesting a 'small subscription' towards the repair of the roof of the south aisle of the church; letter to Messrs Macdonald & Brodrick from J H Johnson re a list of subscriptions towards the repairs of the church (on the back of the letter); letter to Messrs Macdonald & Brodrick from J H Johnson returning the contribution of the Dean and Chapter towards the repair of the church; letter to Messrs Macdonald & Brodrick from Francis Lear asking them to send a cheque to Mr Johnson Vicar of Tilshead on the Choristers' account to help him to meet difficulties with regard to schools in Tilshead; and a letter to Macdonald & Brodrick from J H Johnson stating that he is obliged to the Dean and Chapter for their contribution towards finding school accommodation in the parish of Tilshead.
