Description

"To the Worshipfull the Deane and Chapter of the Cathedrall Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sarum", "The humble petition of the Vicars Chorall". The Vicars Choral had "fallen under Your Worships Displeasure" having granted a lease to a Miss Paine, "being a Lease not warranted by the Lawes of this Kingdome". They had been "put out of Commons and had their Coomons-money . . . withheld from them to the great prejudice of themselves and their families". They petition the Dean and Chapter "to Annull the Decree lately made against them" and that they "be againe admitted into Commons and have all arrearages of the said Commons-money pay'd unto them".
