Description

Lease between the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars of the Cathedral Church of Sarum on the one part and William Benson Earle of the Close on the other part. The Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars lease to William Benson Earle the messuage or tenement with the gardens and appurtenances in the Close, fronting on the south to the King's highway within the Close which leads westward towards the Church and abuts on the north upon the walls of the Close to have and to hold for 40 years. The yearly rent was 20 shillings at the 4 feasts of the year. The item is marked 'In the Close. No 14' (in red ink).
