Description
Lease between the Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars of the Cathedral Church of Sarum on the one part and the Reverend Edmund Benson of the Close Clerk on the other part. The Procurator and Commonalty of Vicars lease to the said Edmund Benson the messuage or tenement with the gardens and appurtenances within the Close of the Canons fronting on the south to the King's highway within the Close which leads westward towards the Church and abuts on the north upon the walls of the Close, to have and to hold for 40 years. The annual rent was 20 shillings to be paid at the 4 feasts of the year. 'In the Close. No. 14.' is written on the item (in red ink).
